Zodiac and Yoga: “Where to find your Rising Sign?”

Astrology and Yoga have wisdom that is inner connected via inner and outer orbits of universal energy flowing in a human body. To know myself and my yoga students, first I ask “what is your zodiac sign?” As I learned from Debra Silverman’s work it represents your Mid Heaven = your body/ ego. Then, next spot is to discover your “Rising sing” your soul’s desire.

As we know, “It takes two to tango!”

In order to have both ~Body and Soul~ harmonically alive, working together in this earthy living experience one needs to know: your MC – Midheaven and AC Rising sing.  Here is how I learned my rising sign from my birth chart during my zodiac self-study.

What is a Rising sign, anyway?

You might be new to astrology (as mostly of us ), perhaps you already know your Sun sign, but there is more information hidden in your birth day data to explore in your self-study.

Think of your birth chart as a snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born. Each type of sign describes where that planet or luminary (that’s astro speak for the Sun and Moon, btw) was when you made your earthly debut. And then there’s your Rising sign, also called your Ascendant. This one describes which zodiac sign was ascending the eastern horizon at the moment you were born.

Some astrologers refer to Rising Sign as a “mask” people wear.

Your RISING SIGN determines the way others see you and what you expect from the world around you. Some astrologers refer to the Rising sign as a “mask” people wear—it can shed light on the first impressions you make as well as your initial reactions and responses to various situations. Some suggest that you read both your Sun and Rising sign horoscopes in order to get a better picture of what’s ahead for you.

RISING SIGN (AC) comes into playit’s a major factor in shaping and defining one’s attitude, first impressions, appearance, and demeanor.

The Ascendant changes every two hours, which is why it’s so important to have an accurate time of birth when interpreting a birth chart. It’s easy to calculate your rising sign with websites like Astro.com or AstroTheme.com or apps like SanctuaryCo–Star, or TimePassages—all you have to do is plug in your birthday, time of birth, and location of birth. Within seconds, you might find some solace when you learn your Rising sign and how much you actually identify with it.

I am FIRE (MC – midheaven) and FIRE (AC – rising sign)

What is yours? Did you get a match?

Please share with me, thanks.

I will meet you on ‘earthly sky’ practicing yoga with me, smile.
