CAROLINE MYSS, one of my teachers, wrote her letter reflected PARIS tragedy and its post trauma on the world. Here comes her powerful letter giving us some clarity and guidance what to do in this time of chaos.
“This is a time that can make a person feel utterly helpless or realize they must rise to the call to become fully spiritually empowered. Every single person is now impacted by the events unfolding in our world. As much as we would like to think otherwise, as much as we would like to run and hide – to turn off the news and run back to other times when such horrors as the terrorist attacks of Paris never happened – we must face the truth that we are now living in the age of the unimaginable, the unthinkable, and even the unbearable.
But it also means we are capable of unimaginable acts of transformation and further that we have been preparing for such acts of goodness. The inner work of personal transformation is not about personal healing for the sake of personal healing alone but to ultimately become someone prepared to take that healing to others, to become a channel of grace in the world. Together we become the new spiritual communities – a global “inner net” – bonded with collective intention devoted to uniting acts of light, generosity and humanity. This is the nature of what it means to be “called to spiritual service” in the world today.

Organized religions have not been able to keep pace with the evolution of contemporary humanity in many ways. We are now technically thinking people who need bigger and more sophisticated spiritual myths that unite us instead of separate us, even if we do not yet consciously realize it. But a society requires moral and ethical guardians and a structure through which we can maintain a form of social accountability.
Having separated ourselves from religious structures, our political systems have grabbed on to that role – inappropriately – and use their positions to attack social moral and sexual behavior backing up their dark agendas with civil consequences. Rather than sin they use jail.
It is time to bond the power of our spirits and direct that power toward the collective act of positive transformation. If not, we will be transformed by events unfolding around us. Participation creates destiny. Passivity leaves us to the hands of fate. “
Yes, I fully agree with Carolyn that it is time to work intensively on our own first to direct our power of act of positive transformation to “Face Our Global Destiny”….now.
